Meet Dr Pedersen

Dr Laura (Larson) Pedersen graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1993 cum laude.

Here is what lead her to pursue chiropractic and extensive holistic alternative health care approaches.

In 1987, I was set to pursue pediatric or orthopedic medicine as I entered the University of Colorado, Boulder as a pre med / biology student. In my freshman year, I came down with what they ended up calling chronic fatigue syndrome, or “I think it is all in your head” diagnosis. The medical clinic doctors couldn’t decide as all my tests came back “normal”. I was sleeping 18 hours a day, barely getting up to get to class and to practice as I was in training for downhill ski racing. My boyfriend, for who I am forever grateful, forced me to go to his holistic chiropractor, as all good Minnesota boys do when one is ill. And there, with Dr Richard Nuzzi in Boulder, Colorado, my life changed. I learned of food allergies, nutritional supplementation, applied kinesiology, diet and holistic healing. In the next few months of care I came back to life, and quickly changed my major. I was now headed to chiropractic college after my undergraduate prerequisites were complete to become like this man of healing and help people get well and live well.

As my health journey continued, I got an understanding of yeast, parasites, bacteria, viruses and alternative ways to handle them. My own personal yeast issue (which was all it was, not really chronic fatigue at all, but it sure felt like some heavy chronic fatigue!) has led me to develop a further understanding of parasites, pollution, toxins, allergies, EMF, and more. I am so thankful I had to experience a host of quirky health issues to lead me to finding natural, alternative approaches to healing, reducing the bodies stressors and living a happy healthy life. I was blessed to never have “bad” disease issues, unfortunately I had a host of minor, non-diagnosable issues that I now know would have lead to something “bad” in due time. Now I am grateful for my own personal research study in my body, it has led me to understanding how to help so many others holistically.

I understand the body is replacing cells every second, tissues are born anew. If only we could get the cause of disease out of the body perhaps the new cells would replace the old ones with healthy tissue, then we could truly get better. We can remove those hurdles, and so we can get well.
